The Hall of Fame selection committee are proud to announce the selections for induction into the Hall of Fame. Please welcome the HOF Class of 2017:
Jill Bartholomew (1988) – A 4-year varsity letter winner in softball, 3 year letter winner in basketball, team MVP 4x, 1st team all-LCAA 4x, and team captain 2x is enough to earn any athlete Hall of Fame honors. Jill’s outstanding career also earned her the Bliesner-Kohler Award as the outstanding senior athlete.
Jeff Thompson (1995) –. Jeff earned 4 varsity letters in baseball, 3 in football and 2 in basketball. He was twice named 1st team all-LCAA and all-County in both football and baseball, all-District 2x and all-state honorable mention in baseball. Jeff went on to Adrian College where he was a two year starter in football.
Jesse Sieler (2004) – Jesse has the honor of being one of only two wrestlers in Blissfield history to win a state championship, earning that honor his senior year in the 160 pound weight class. Jesse also earned all-state honors his junior year in wrestling, finishing his career with 119 victories, which was 4th in school history when he graduated. Along with wrestling, Jesse was a standout o the football field starting as a guard and linebacker earning all-LCAA and all-County honors.
Lindsey Forche (2005) – As dominate a distance runner as any who represented Blissfield, Lindsey was the number one runner from the day she started as a freshman, earning a total of 6 all-state honors between cross country and track a long with 12 all-LCAA honors.
2002 State Champion Baseball Team – Considered by many who follow Blissfield baseball as the most talented baseball team to ever represent Blissfield. This group of young men finished with an impressive 40-4 record and the programs 6th state championship.
